Newest Intern

Good Afternoon, Blog!

Well, it's another gloomy morning in the twin cities. The lack of sunshine may have some spirits down, but the world doesn't stop moving just because of a little rain. And here at Scarletta, we are always moving forward--on to something better and (hopefully) brighter!

Today is no exception. I am happy to introduce our newest intern for the summer season: John Hansen. He's provided a little bit about himself for our readers. So enjoy your cup of coffee and quick introduction to the most recent addition to the office team.

Cheers,
     Josh

My name is John Hansen and I am the newest intern here at Mighty Media and Scarletta. I just want to say first how excited and grateful I am to be given this opportunity to learn from some of the best people in the business. I am really looking forward to expanding my knowledge in the workplace, and learning as much as possible while I am here.

Little about myself…
Edina, Minnesota is where I am from. I go to school at Saint Mary's University, where I just finished off my sophomore year this past spring. I am a marketing major with an electronic publishing minor. I have been interested in books since I was very young. My mother works at Abdo Publishing, which is where I spent a lot of my time as a kid. I always found it very cool to see books that my mom published in the library’s at my school. She is the one that has sparked my interest, and why I have become more involved in the publishing business.

What does the Future hold?
Right now I do not know what the future holds for me. I am here at Scarletta to learn and more importantly become inspired. I have been thinking a lot lately about my future and what I want to do when I get older. It's scary, not knowing, but it's something that I know will figure itself out in the end. One day I hope to wake up and say “I love what I do." I just have to find my calling. With a little guidance I know that I can do that here. I’ve only been here a few days, but I can already tell this is going to be a great experience, and I am looking forward to working with everyone here at Scarletta.

  1. Good luck, Josh. Don't worry, you're definitely right that the future will be figured out. You just have to go with it and make the best choices you can. Have fun!
