Books to Movies

It's safe to say that many of 2011's biggest movies were based on books—the Oscars proved that. The Help, Hugo, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, and The Descendants all took home at least one Academy Award.
As exciting as it is to see these movies do so well, we're already looking forward to the great books being adapted into movies in 2012:
The Lorax by Dr. Seuss with Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Ed Helms. Just admit you're giddy with excitement at the thought of reliving this childhood classic.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins with Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, and Donald Sutherland. There's no doubt about it, these movies are going to be huge.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith with Benjamin Walker and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Abraham Lincoln...vampire slayer? We'll believe it when we see it (maybe).Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell with Tom Hanks, Hugo Weaving, Halle Berry, and Jim Sturgess. We'll admit we haven't heard much about this one, but we're intrigued. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald with Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. Do we really need another Gatsby remake? Is that question made irrelevant by the cast? Yes.
Breaking Dawn: Part 2 by Stephenie Meyer with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. Ok, so we have no desire to see this one...but there are millions of teenage girls who will disagree with us.
On the Road by Jack Kerouac with Garret Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, and Kirsten Dunst. Oh God, please let this be NOTHING like Twilight!
Les Misérables by Victor Hugo with Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, and Russell Crowe. WHAT? We may have our reservations, but don't let that fool you. We'll be there opening night.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien with Martin Freeman. We have no reservations about this one...it's going to be epic!
Life of Pi by Yann Martel with Suraj Sharma and Tobey Maguire. We'll have to see it before passing judgement.
World War Z by Max Brooks with Brad Pitt. Who doesn't want to see Brad battle zombies?
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky with Logan Lerman and Emma Watson. Sounds sweet, and we love Emma.
Which movie are you most looking forward to?
